Use a Cable Protector
Whilst charging an EV across a path or pavement, a cable protector should be used to prevent pedestrians tripping over a trailing EV cable. Check your insurance policy as some insurance companies require you to take due care to prevent accidents caused by EV charging cables. Ensure the EV cable on the ground is fully covered, the cable protector is easy to cross by pedestrians and is flat to the floor.
The Edion Protect cable protector can be cut to size to fit the width of the path or pavement. Available in lengths of 1.5m, 2.5m, 3.5m, 4m, 5m, 6m, 7m, and 8m
The EV charging cable can be attached underneath the cable protector using cable ties to keep the cable secure and in place.
Once charging is complete roll up the EV cable and the cable protector together for easier storage.
Prices start at £49.99 for a 1.5m cable protector. If you require a length longer than 3.5m longer lenghts are available in 4m, 5m, 6m, 7m, and 8m lengths.
Instructions for attaching the EV cable to the Edion Protect cable protector can be found here.
Display a Warning Sign
The Edion EV Charging Hazard Warning Sign securely attaches to the EV cable using two silicon ties. It won't blow away or damage your car.
